About

GSHS Mini-THON is partnered with Four Diamonds in the fight against Pediatric Cancer.

100% of the money earned goes to kids with cancer, their families and research to help find a cure.

On this webpage you will find information on all the fundraisers and events we host throughout the year.

Q: Why did you decide to get involved with Mini-THON?

A: Since I was a freshman I always tried to get involved with Mini-THON things. At that time, it might have been because it was a way to be with the upperclassmen. However once I got into my junior year, I really wanted to be a part of it because there’s no better feeling than being able to help others in need. No matter what you’re going through, you have life, and that’s what all of these children are fighting for.

Q: What is your role in Mini-THON?

A: I’m the Finance Director of the Mini-THON team, which controls the money. My job is to make sure that we spend the least amount of money for each event while maximizing the profits.

Q: What do you want to do in the future?

A: In my future I plan to attend a four year college and major in business. I hope to continue to play football through my years in college.

Q: Why did you decide to get involved with Mini-THON?

A: In middle school, I struggled with my health, and many people in the community helped me and my family out. They made a huge impact on my life, and I hope to one day impact many other lives in the same way. I decided to do Mini-THON because I am healthy enough to fight for the children who can’t.

Q: What is your role in Mini-THON?

A: I’m the Social Media Director for Mini-THON. My main job is to advertise Mini-THON events, but I also research and post Pediatric Cancer facts and statistics to raise awareness.

Q: What do you want to do in the future?

A: I want to attend Penn State as a Premedicine student, and to one day become either a physician or a medical research scientist.

A: A lot of people close to me have been affected by cancer, and this opportunity to participate in Mini-THON allows me to make a difference, so hopefully everyone can be Cancer free. Also, helping a great cause with close friends makes it even better.

Q: What is your role in Mini-THON?

A: My role in Mini-THON is the Overall Leader; I maintain monthly schedules, meeting times, and I’m basically responsible for maintaining/overlooking the work of the Mini-THON team.

Q: What do you want to do in the future?

A: In the future I would like to teach, and Mini-THON gives me the opportunity to enhance my skills of establishing schedules, maintaining work ethic of the people around me, and being a leader.
